“Young Swedish house-music producer Alesso, among MTV News’ Rookies to Watch in 2012, is all set to make his Miami Music Week debut, and he’s bringing an arsenal of brand-spankin’-new studio goodies just for the fans.

“I’ve never been to the Winter Music Conference. I just heard you’re there to present your tracks for the year,” Alesso said when MTV News caught up with him at the newly remodeled super-club Mansion 360 in Miami. “And you’ve just got to smash it when you’re there and have a really good time and show people what this year is going to be like.”

Indeed, Alesso’s got a lot of new material to share with the fans, including the pitch-perfect addition of OneRepublic’s Ryan Tedder’s vocals to “Calling (Lose My Mind),” a new take on his collaboration with Sebastian Ingrosso that currently stands high on the beatport.com charts.

Also among the new songs he’s presenting is “Eclipse (Why Am I Doing This?),” a team-up with mentor Ingrosso and his Swedish House Mafia bandmate Steve Angello — the still-unreleased track has the potential to be a 2012 anthem for the young rising star.

“Everything’s been going really fast, but I’m, like, super-, super-happy about the year,” Alesso said. “I can’t wait to see how 2012 is going to be.”

Notably, MMW is where Alesso made his first big splash last year, when Swedish House Mafia debuted his thunderous “Nillionaire” at their epic Masquerade Motel party. A series of commercially successful hit singles followed with “Raise Your Head,” “Dynamite” and, easily one of the biggest EDM songs of the year, Alesso’s remix of “Pressure” by Alex Kenji, Starkillers and Nadia Ali.

Alesso has blazed a trail around the world and it’s taken him to Miami Music Week, where today he stands as one of the many main attractions.

“2011 went so quick and there were so many things that happened that year,” Alesso said. “I played at [Electric Daisy Carnival] to over 80,000 people, and then I played Nocturnal Wonderland. I played in so many different cities in just one year.

“Sebastian told me at the EDC last year that he was gonna change my life,” Alesso continued. “I was like, ‘Wow, what do you mean?’ I got a bit nervous, like, ‘What do you mean? Change my life?’ ”

And just as Sebastian Ingrosso foretold, Alesso’s gigs next week will be among the most sought-after events in Miami this year.

“I’m super-excited,” he said. “I don’t really know what to expect. I’m going to have a good time and it’s going to be crazy.”
